How often do you take the escalator inside shops, department stores or stations? Possibly more than you think. It’s a good idea to reflect on your own safety. After all, an escalator is only really safe if you use it safely. Our top tip: stand still and hold tight.
Using escalators safely

Tie your laces before you step on and keep long clothing away from the steps and handrail.

DO NOT STAND CLOSE TO THE SIDE
